Simply a perfect way to fully experience the coastline and islands of Croatia; step on-board your luxury vessel and enjoy seven nights exploring the waters of this fabulous country, meandering from Dubrovnik to Split. Spend mornings on deck relaxed with attentive crew and lavish surroundings, as the stunning scenery slips by, take in a dip in the sparkling sea and swim to secluded beaches, or just lie back with a book. Late afternoon join a walking tour guided by a local expert, they certainly know how to bring the places you visit to life with facts and tales of years gone by, a much better experience than relying on a book and going it alone.

 

Evenings are always a special time; each night you are moored up in a different location, whether a busy city with bustling nightlife, or quieter town steeped in history, the opportunity to find your own eateries and mingle with the locals. This interesting itinerary highlights the best and perhaps the ‘must see’ of Croatia. Dubrovnik, with its city walls, Korkula, the island best known for the birth place of Marco Polo, Mljet is famous for its beautiful national park and salt lake, Hvar which is the longest island, famed for lavender fields and being the sunniest island, plus Brac famed for wine and Ston for oysters.

 

There’s plenty of ancient architecture and deep history to be seen too, such as Split which is a UNESCO site with its Diocletian Palace and old city town. For those looking for a truly immersive small cruising experience, then the Southern Pearls from Dubrovnik will tick all the boxes.

Day 1:

Dubrovnik Embarkation

Check-in from 2pm. The afternoon is spent relaxing on-board making yourself at-home, or take a stroll into Dubrovnik, and soak up the atmosphere of this amazing town. Passengers will be arriving through-out the day and into early evening. A little later enjoy a welcome cocktail and a short meet and greet introduction from your captain and crew.

Day 2:

Dubrovnik - Ston

Early morning guided tour of Dubrovnik (included). The buildings that have remained from the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic certainly give this town a special charm. Take the cable car from the Old Town to Srd mountain to enjoy scenic views of the Walls and Elaphiti Islands (included). Return to the ship and sit back over lunch to enjoy the stunning scenery as the ship cruises around Dubrovnik city walls. Late afternoon arrival in Ston, once a small fortified village famous for its oysters. After exploring the town’s medieval ramparts, there is an opportunity to visit a farm to learn more about oysters and tasting this delicious treat (optional). Return to ship and overnight

Day 3:

Slano/Ston - Mljet

This morning head further north to the Island of Mljet. Legend says Greek hero Odysseus spent years on this island when he was captured by the nymph Calypso. Join the cruise manager to stroll to the famous salt lakes in the Mljet National Park (included) and perhaps opportunity to enjoy the boat ride to the St Mary Isle to visit an ancient Benedictine monastery. Alternatively, you can rent kayaks, bicycles, scooters or convertible cars to roam around the National Park or island on your own, but beware of the nymphs! Time at leisure and overnight in port Polacaor Pomena

Day 4:

Mljet - Korcula

Early morning departure towards the Korcula island best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Afternoon arrival in Korcula followed by a guided walking tour of this enchanting town surrounded by walls and one of the best preserved medieval cities in the Mediterranean (included). Fish bone street pattern was used in Korcula Old Town design to reduce effects of wind and sun and provide citizens with sheltered and comfortable accommodation. Korcula has an abundant choice of restaurants to enjoy a gourmet experience and numerous bars and clubs for those looking for evening entertainment. Optional excursion to small village near Korcula for typical Dalmatian dinner and to learn about the history and traditional way of living. Overnight in Korcula.

Day 5:

Korcula - Vis

The island of Vis, once a strategic naval Yugoslav base and closed to the public. Due to this isolation, Vis has a special charm - "the Mediterranean as it once was" making for an interesting to visit. Vis town, situated on the northern side of the island, has developed near the remains of the ancient Issa, first urban centre in Croatia. An opportunity to visit a traditional winery and sample some exquisite Croatian wine (optional). Visit the remains of the Roman thermal place, City museum or simply take a walk enjoying the views of the beautiful Villae Rusticae situated along the waterfront. Overnight in the port of Vis

Day 6:

Vis - Bisevo (Blue Cave) - Hvar

Early in the morning cruise towards small island Biševo to visit the Blue cave, a magnificent natural phenomenon. As sometimes weather conditions can be very unpredictable, the possibility of our visit will depend on those conditions, however you will be notified of this on time (entrance fee can only be paid on spot). Continue towards the jet-set island Hvar with a swim stop and lunch on board at the Pakleni Islands. Hvar, the longest and sunniest island in the Adriatic is known for lavish lavender fields and breath taking beauty. Afternoon arrival followed by a short presentation of lavender products and a tour of the town (included) - the Renaissance cathedral with its original tower, and the oldest community theatre in Europe founded in 1612. Hike up to the town fort overlooking the harbour to get some lovely scenic views of your ship and the Pakleni islands. In the evening Hvar offers an abundance of entertainment - numerous restaurants, bars and cafes are open long into the night. Overnight in the port.

Day 7:

Hvar - Bol - Split

Morning departure to Brac island where swimming is planned at the most famous beach in Dalmatia - Zlatni Rat near Bol - whose gravel promontory shifts from side to side as the wind and waves constantly change in shape. Bol is a typical fishermen’s village converted into a popular tourist destination. Continue to Split to enjoy a guided tour of the city (included) upon arrival, a historical town under UNESCO protection and as it is a part of the world heritage. One will find an abundance of Roman architecture of special interest is the magnificent Diocletian Palace, once inhabited by the Roman emperor. Overnight in Split.

Split - Check out

Breakfast and time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Check out by 9.00 am.

Cabins:

All 20 en-suite cabins on board the Prestige have been perfected to give you optional space and comfort. Located on either the lower (8 internal access with porthole), main deck (9 external access with a door straight onto the deck and picture window) plus two VIP cabins which are located at the front of the ship, are larger in size and have private internal access with larger window). All cabins are en-suite (shower) and offer air-con, LCD TV, safe deposit, cupboard and wardrobe, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobe and slippers, lifejacket and communication system.

 

Facilities:

Boasting modern facilities expected of a brand new vessel, the Prestige has an abundance of space and comfortable living areas….the salon features large windows and comfortable seating, bar, music system, and dining facilities with an outdoor terrace. The majority of leisure time on-board is spent on the fantastic ‘Sun Deck’, a huge 250 square meters with whirlpool, relaxed sunchairs/loungers, large shaded area and background music. To make the most of every swimming opportunity there is a platform with a ladder for easy access to the water.

 

Food and drink:

Your ‘mixed half board’ basis includes dinner on arrival, breakfast daily, 5 lunches with 1 drink, captains dinner, plus 1.5ltr bottle of water daily. This arrangement offers the best of both worlds; to enjoy the fayre on-board, and also time to sample local restaurants and eateries, making the most of the slow paced days and evenings of the Adriatic coastline and islands. Drinks not included within the package can be purchased from the bar located in the salon.
